Snot Funny, Part 2

Since you’re all invested in my snotty face now, I thought I’d give you a quick update.

I went to a new Ear, Nose and Throat doctor this morning, and aside from the fact that he was already running late at 9:15 a.m. I liked him. He actually asked me questions and listened to the answers, which was probably why he was already running late. (Note to self, always make the first appointment in the morning).

He asked me how long this had been going on, and what I’ve been doing about it over the years. I mentioned a few other problems I’ve been having and said, “But that’s probably not related to this” and he scolded me and told me that it wasn’t up to me what was and wasn’t related.

Good point.

I’ve been running a low-grade fever this whole week, which he didn’t love, so he did a pretty thorough exam.

The long and the short of it is, he thinks I definitely have allergies of some sort (I figured that much). And asthma. And a slightly deviated septum on the right side of my nose.

But we’ll deal with those later apparently.

The more pressing matter to him is for me to have a CT scan. I’m waiting on the paperwork and I’ll probably have to do that some time in the next week. Then we’ll meet and go over the results.

Progress, right?

    Yay to doctors who listen!

I hope whatever you have is easily and painlessly fixable, and that you are soon back to your regular cheerfully (as opposed to sorrowfully) surly and snarky self.
